Apostle’s Creed:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. On the third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
These are the beliefs Nazarenes hold to be true: We believe in one God-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living. We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually. We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost. We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin. We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers. We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.

Jesus called his disciples to follow him. Our mission is to make Christ-like disciples in the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads to every nation. Nazarenes are involved in a variety of ministries with a singular focus – to make Christ-like disciples. Here are some of the ways Nazarenes are involved in ministry:
Ushers / Greeters
The Usher/Greeter team fills an important role. They are involved in helping people as they enter worship, ensuring the safety of the building during worship services, assisting visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
Media & Technology
Using
media to spread the gospel is a privilege. In an age of widespread technology,
we are called to use these tools for kingdom purposes. Our worship services
including Pastor Buddy’s sermons are uploaded to our website in video format.
We also maintain an active Facebook feed text messaging service for additional
church communication.
Hospitality
We
are always praying for people who are gifted and want to serve in this ministry.
We offer refreshments at every service and are thankful to those who prepare
them and clean up afterwards. If hospitality is one of your spiritual gifts, we
would invite you to join this ministry.
SAMS – Senior Adult Ministry
This is a fellowship of believers (50+ years) who minister in Bible studies and fellowship with food, fun and games.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is a ministry in which trained and supervised lay people, called “Stephen Ministers,” provide one-to-one Christian care to individuals facing life challenges or difficulties.
The Church of The Nazarene is involved in spreading God’s kingdom around the world. As part of a global church, we are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers.
Children and Youth Ministry
We offer age-appropriate ministry to children and youth. This includes teaching during our worship time as well as fellowship activities. If ministering to children and youth is your calling, we invite you to join our team.
Worship Ministry
Every day we praise and worship through His Word, in prayer and fellowship, in our occupation, and importantly, corporately at church. How we present ourselves each day will prepare us in God-honoring praise and worship on Sunday and is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in administration, media presentation, our music, and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. These volunteers are an important part of the Worship ministry at Montrose First Church of The Nazarene, using their heart as a worshiper first, then talents and gifts to glorify God.
